Meet your Therapist!
Taylin D. Ramirez, MS
LPC-Associate
Supervised by Dr. Jolene Des Roches, PhD, LPC-S
Do you remember a time when your identity wasn’t your diagnosis? Mistrust, anxiety, and disconnect weren’t the “norm”…but those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools to change that?
You’ve come to the right place.
I’m Taylin, and I help men and women like you. Someone who wants to feel optimistic and look forward to something beyond their current struggles, but who needs the support to get there. I will help you find confidence, happiness, and fulfillment by equipping you with the tools you need to understand yourself and accept your situation.
In sessions, we will identify and examine the stressors negatively impacting your daily interactions, inner peace, and relationships. Then, we work on communication skills, behavior changes, and thought processes that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll learn the tools needed to be more than your circumstances.
I am dedicated to helping people reclaim their lives.
My training means I have the expertise you need and deserve when processing and managing a chronic illness, medical trauma, or a big life change. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what you are going through, right? I have navigated the challenges of the healthcare system and the weight of medical diagnoses, both as a caregiver and as a patient. I’ve lived it myself. I understand the fatigue pain can cause. I know what it’s like not to trust your body, for a diagnosis to change your life, or to fight to be heard in the exam room.
So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist.
You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
A little more about me...
In my free time, I love to take walks with my endearingly co-dependent Schnoodle, Alex Lee. I go camping in my trusty camper, Kermit, a green tear-drop trailer. I also enjoy traveling abroad to visit friends, and I dream of owning a home in Normandy, France. My favorite hobbies include cooking, listening to true crime podcasts, photography, and reading. Finally, I am a firm believer that piñatas are appropriate at any age, and my parents still get me one on my birthday.
